1. Eugene Kaspersky
About Eugene
Eugene Kaspersky was born in Russia and funnily enough, he came into cyber security by accident...
When his computer got infected with the 'Cascade' virus in 1989, he used his knowledge and specialised skillset from his time as a cryptographer to remove the virus. Once he caught the 'bug' (no pun intended) for cyber security, it never left.
Since 1989, he has been successfully combating malware in all of its different forms. In fact, the University of Hamburg had said in 1994 that he and his team of researchers had made the best anti-virus program in the world.
Eugene is now the CEO of 'Kapersky' which he launched with his trust team of researchers in 1997, as you can imagine, it's been a great success with the Kapersky Lab operating in almost 200 countries worldwide.
